The Closing and Prize Giving Ceremony of Verdict Vista: The National Law Olympiad 1.0 was held on 22 November 2025, Saturday, marking the successful conclusion of the first-ever National Law Olympiad in the Sylhet region.

The event was graced by our Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Honorable Vice Chancellor, NEUB. We were further honored by the presence of Mr. Md. Tanvir Ahmed, Judicial Magistrate, Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Habiganj, as Special Guest, and Mr. Shariful Hoque, Metropolitan Magistrate, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Sylhet, as Invited Special Guest. The ceremony was chaired by Md. Mahamudun Noby Rupok, Acting Head of the Department of Law and Justice & Convener of the programme.

Faculty members Najia Ferdous, Ahmod Hossain Akkas, Md. Moqbul Hosain Noman, Md. Mahdi Hasan Fagun, Aishwariya Das Aishi, and Adjunct Faculty Kanak Kanti Karmakar attended the ceremony, alongside invited guests Barrister Choudhury Hashmee, Nur E Alam, Faculty of Law, East West University and Tareq Abedin Siraji founder of BD opinion Juris. The smooth execution of the programme was made possible by Fahaduzzaman Fahad (President), Omor Khan Fazle Rabi (Vice President), Sayeda Nahida Begum (General Secretary), and members of NEUBLMCC.

Students from leading institutions across the country participatedâBangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), East West University, Daffodil International University, Green University Bangladesh, Uttara University, Leading University, Metropolitan University, BGC Trust University Bangladesh, as well as school and college participants from Sylhet Govt. Model School & College, Sylhet Govt. Womenâs College, Shajalal Jamyea Kamil Madrasa and othersâmaking this Olympiad a truly national celebration of academic excellence.

In the NEUBLMCC National Moot Court Competition 2025, the Champion was Verdict Vault (East West University), and the Runner-up was Vindication Verse (BUP). In the National Debate Competition 2025, the Champion was āĻŽāĻ¤āĻĒā§āĻ°āĻāĻžāĻļā§āĻ° āĻŽāĻā§āĻ (NEUB), and the Runner-up was āĻ¯ā§āĻā§āĻ¤āĻŋ āĻā§āĻžāĻ (BGCTUBLDC, BGC Trust University Bangladesh).
