Credit Transfer Policy:

A student may apply for transfer of credits earned from a similar course/degree at another university/institution, subject to the condition that a minimum of half the total credits applicable for the particular course/degree at NEUB will be done here. Only credits of relevant courses with at least 70% of identical contents in which s/he has earned grade B- (2.75) or better may be transferable to NEUB.  After Admission, the applicant must apply addressing the Head of the department with his/her necessary documents. The equivalence committee of the concerned Department will make the credit transfer decisions on a case-by-case basis where the quality and standard of the institution and/or academic program will be taken into account. For Bangladeshi institutions, transfer of credits will be considered if the institution has been approved by the BUGC.

Change of Program:

If a student does not wish to continue with the program in which s/he took admission, s/he can apply for transfer to another program before the Course Registration of the 2nd Semester.

The application will be on plain paper addressed to the head of department of the intended program, explaining why the student wishes to transfer. The letter will need a "No Objection" signature from the existing department before submitting it to the intended department head. Approval is entirely at the discretion of the intended department head, and also subject to availability of a place in the intended program.

Any problem or confusion relating to the degree or diploma obtained from abroad of any applicant for admission in the under graduate programs or for other purposes will be referred to and resolved by the Degree Equivalence Committee of Bangladesh University Grants Commission (BUGC).
