UNDP FutureNation Organizes Seminar on “Unlock a World of Opportunities” at NEUB
A seminar titled “Unlock a World of Opportunities” was organized today by UNDP FutureNation at North East University Bangladesh (NEUB). The event was graced by Professor Dr. Engr. Mohammad Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of NEUB, as the Chief Guest.
Among the distinguished guests were Professor Dr. Ranjit Kumar Dey, Dean of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences; Professor Md. Harunur Rashid, Department of English; Md. Samsul Kabir, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English; Dr. Arif Ahmad, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Dean of the School of Natural Sciences and Engineering; and Rebeka Sultana Chowdhury, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Business, and Dean of the School of Business. Faculty members from various departments were also in attendance.
From UNDP FutureNation, Mr. Abdul Hoque Quraisi, Regional Skills Hub Facilitator of Sylhet, attended the event. The UNDP FutureNation volunteer team at NEUB — Md. Ashraful, Md. Ariful Islam Himel, and Shibanee Baidya — were also present. The program was hosted by Md. Wahidul Auwal Sani.
During the event, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Engr. Mohammad Iqbal delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of UNDP FutureNation’s learning opportunities and encouraged students to take full advantage of them to develop future-ready skills. Professor Md. Harunur Rashid and other guests also shared their valuable insights with the audience.
Mr. Abdul Hoque Quraisi gave a detailed presentation on the various UNDP FutureNation courses and their benefits. He also engaged with students in an interactive question-and-answer session, addressing their queries and providing guidance on the enrollment and learning process.
The seminar concluded with an expression of appreciation from the attendees, underscoring the significance of such collaborative initiatives in empowering students and opening new avenues for their academic and professional growth.
Following the seminar, Mr. Abdul Hoque Quraisi held a round table meeting with Professor Dr. Engr. Mohammad Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of NEUB, along with the Deans and Heads of various departments. The meeting focused on fostering long-term collaboration between UNDP FutureNation and NEUB. Discussions highlighted potential partnerships in skill development programs, student engagement initiatives, and capacity-building projects aimed at enhancing employability and innovation among NEUB students.
